                                                                                          Presentation and Fun

                                                                                          Match was held on

                                                                                          April 3, 2008 at the

                                                                                          International Plaza

                                                                                          Resort and Spa in

                                                                                          Orlando, Florida

                                                                                          sponsored by the

                                                                                          Grand Basset Griffon

                                                                                          Vendéen Club of

                                                                                          America in

                                                                                          association with the

                                                                                          PBGVCA National

                                                                                          and Regional

                                                                                          Specialties.  Nearly

                                                                                          seventy five

                                                                                           interested individuals,

 

consisting of GBGV breeders, all-breed judges and enthusiasts, were on hand to watch as 14 GBGV’s were presented in a Fun Match and commentary.

             The honorable Jean Yves Chatelais of Des Rocs Du Plessis in L’Armoicaine, France judged the Fun Match and provided an oral critique translated by Suzanne Douglass for the benefit of the presenters and the many observers.

             Best in Match was Ker Kenava Du Greffier Du Roi, bred by Jolanda Huisman of Siddeburen, Netherlands and owned by Jolanda Huisman along with Brent Humphrey and Corey Benedict of Sidekick GBGV’s, Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.  The winners of the individual class divisions of Best Puppy, Best Adult and Best Veteran are displayed on Page 2 along with other photos from the event.

             The GBGVCA would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Mr. Chatelais for dedicating his time and experience and to the PBGVCA for allowing their participation.  The GBGVCA continues to be committed to our mission to encourage and promote quality in breeding the Grand Basset Griffon Vendéen and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection.  We look forward to our next opportunity to showcase our wonderful breed and invite any interested individuals to join us in our quest.
